The original Real Book volumes were printed without securing copyright releases or paying royalties, and they were thus illegal. These unlicensed books were all sold through informal connections, e.g. for cash in the backs of music stores, and between musicians.

We are an artist owned cooperative that takes pride in our craft. We produce a high quality, environmentally friendly garment that is union made. From each sale, 40% of the profits goes to the artist.
